The pitch or tone of the instrument is either too high or too low is the condition when an instrument is out of tune. If a tone is too low, then it is considered flat and if it is too high, then it is sharp.

The same volume should adjust between the guitar volume and your computer volume. 

So the sound coming from your computer doesn't drown out or overpower the sound that your guitar produces, or vice versa.
